More Joy!

I am really, really loving this project!  James has been awesome at letting me take photos of him.  I love it.  Emma is tougher but I am getting parts of her that I want to remember so I am just taking what I can get.
Dan is gearing up for some awesome one on one time with me. I can't wait to be able to photograph him portrait style a bit more this weekend.

Since I am a bit behind in my posting here are days 8-12!

Day 8- Gift from the Heart
Dan gave me the most beautiful give of love and time and a promise of forever. (I am a cheeseball but I can't help it. I love him.)

Day 9- Passions and Hobbies
James LOVES Legos- putting them together, taking them apart, creating something from directions and creating something from his mind.

Day 10- Space where they are comfortable
Emma's crib with Dolly, Monkey, her "blanklet", and her favorite books.

Day 11- Dreams

James' dream since he was 2- to become a Firefighter.  He says " I just wanna help people"

Day 12- The Eyes

My Handsome Guys!
I'll be back soon with some awesome Valentine photos!

Joy of Love continued...

So I am continuing in my quest to find the Joy of Love in our home.  The hardest part is taking the pictures.   Day 4's prompt was take a picture of what they wear. Emma just got this new shirt and she loves it. It is a perfect message! Super cute too!

The prompt for day 6 is what they love.  I love that my kids love each other.  I know it is cliche and tons of people probably would say the same but I love that they take care of each other, teach each other, and even sometimes (?!)  fight.  Makes them stronger, better siblings.   Here they are waiting for our neighbor and her dog to make their morning round.

Day 7  was about photographing different generations. I am going to hold off until my parent or in-laws make a visit. I need a good grandparents photo again. It has been too long. I am sure this month I can make this happen.

See you in a few!  xo

Joy of Love

I signed up for a class with Kelly Willette called the Joy of Love.  I am so excited about this class.  Each day she sends an email with a photo prompt, some ideas, and a video tutorial.  I am loving the prompts, forcing me to take pictures in different settings.  I am going to take more pictures of Dan which I am sure he will love and I am almost never do.  I am also going to try to take some photos of us together because it doesn't happen that often and I do love us together.

The first day the prompt was to take a picture of a loved one doing what they do.  This is Dan ironing his pants in the morning. The light was really bad and the shutter speed on my camera was really slow so I edited it in black and white.
The second day the prompt was to take a picture of a loved one doing what they love.  I took  some pictures of James playing with his legos.  This is his absolute favorite thing to do.  I love these pictures of James.  My house gets fantastic light during the day and the sun was finally out so I took advantage of it and got some awesome pictures of him and his beloved Legos.

Today the prompt was to take a picture of  now and compare it to when you first met your loved one. I snapped this picture of James this morning singing "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes"  to Emma. It reminded me of a photo that was taken of him when he was  just a few days old.

My goal is to post my Joy of Love photos every three to five days. I am also doing Project 365 so Joy of Love is helping me stay on track with that as well. Can't wait to find more joy and more love around here and to share the happiness that is in our life through this awesome class!
